About Me

Dr. Vemula Ramakrishna Reddy (V.R.K. Reddy) received the M.Sc. (2008) and M.Phil. (2009) degrees in Mathematics from Pondicherry University, and the Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from the same university in 2015. During his doctoral research, he was awarded the prestigious UGC–CSIR NET–JRF in 2010. His Ph.D. thesis focused on hydrodynamic stability, particularly shear flows and the influence of topography.

Following the submission of his doctoral thesis, he served as a Guest Faculty at Pondicherry University from September 2014 to May 2015. In 2015, he was awarded the prestigious NBHM Post-Doctoral Fellowship by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India, for a period of three years. Under this fellowship, he joined the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad as a Research Associate from August 2015 to November 2015, and subsequently continued as a Post-Doctoral Fellow from December 2015 to October 2018.

He is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics, School of Advanced Sciences, VIT-AP University, since August 2024, and has been serving as the Head of the Department since August 2023.

His research interests include fluid dynamics, hydrodynamic stability, vortex dynamics, statistical modeling, and data science. He has published nine research articles in reputed international journals.
